Corset Torture Story
Reading books about the dress in the olden days gives an idea of where corsets were created. Few may know the history of the evolvement. Interesting facts of the corsets is how they were worn and why. History states women wore the corset to flatter their figure and give the hourglass look. At the same time, many women were so influenced by the trend, health of the body was put on the line by squeezing the stomach and spine, possibly causing damage to internal organs and bones of the body. This became to be known as the corset torture and in today's society, is not widely used.
