Victorian Governess Corporal Punishment
The governess used to be an intefral part of upper, and upper middle class households during the Victorian era. The governess, was employee to take care of and to discipline the children. Victorian governesses used oppressive practices to discipline the children. Some examples of Victorian governess corporal punishment include spanking, though harsher methods were also used.
