9 Muses of Greek Mythology

The nine muses of Greek mythology were the goddesses of the arts and sciences. They are also the daughters of Zeus. They were Thalia, the muse of comedy and idyllic poetry, Melpmene, the muse of tragedy, Cleo, the muse of history and Euterpe, the muse of lyric poetry. There also is Terpsichore, the muse of music and dancing, Erato, muse of erotic poetry, Calliope, the muse of epic poetry, Urania, the muse of astronomy and Polyhymnia the muse of sacred hymns and harmony.
