FAQ: New to ASCII art? Read me first! ... You can also modify existing art. Take a piece of art you think could be improved. Make a copy. Now work on it. When you are good at that, try to improve a really good pic. Then see if you can fix a damaged file. Now take some small pics and put them together into a big composite image.

Ascii art is one of the oldest and least recognised forms of computer generataed art. Shapes, forms, showdows and shades can be formed with the use of different characters in the standard ascii set. Different 'densisties' of characters are used to simulate shadows and complexity of form.

Huge! Must see that! ... PLEASE do not include ascii art in your signature files in Usenet newsgroups. What may be OK in private email, is in very poor taste and an abomination when you are asking thousands of systems to transmit it. It _WILL_ cause you to burn in hell!
