Separating by John Updike

John Updike was a famous american poet and author, who won two Pulitzer prizes and two National Book Awards for his work. The title of one of his novellas, "Separating," is is aptly named, as it is a fictionalization of Updike's divorce from his first wife. This and two others dealing with the same relationship were combined and adapted into the screenplay for the NBC televison movie "Too Far to Go." Though Updike published "Separating" in 1974, it's theme and characters still provide insight for families of divorce in modern times.
