Summary of "Everyday use" by Alice Walker is a tale of a mother and daughter who can't seem to see eye to eye.
The daughter feels that her mother needs to get in touch with her feminine side, while the mother thinks she is just fine and her stout frame was meant to work and provide.
The daughter soon comes home and tries explaining to her mother her sense of style.
There are some handmade quilts involved. The daughter feels that these should be a show piece, whereas the mother thinks they should be used.
This is a modern day story in an earlier time. Alice Walker is a wonderful writer.
