Brand Strategy

Brand strategy begins by identifying the essence of what you represent. Brand Strategy is communicated through the images your customers see and identify with your product, messages you deliver through printed and online material, your customer service excellence and a customer's opinion of you versus your competition. If your company doesn't have a strong brand strategy, you'll need to first identify your "competitive positioning" in the market. Begin by asking yourself, how do I differentiate my product in the market and what value does my product convey to my customers? A good strategy begins by identifying your market profile: size, competitors, and stage of growth, customer segments, and competitive analysis through evaluation of your strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities. Also included is deciding on your positioning strategy: how to position yourself to gain the most market share. Finally, decide what type of value you'll deliver to the market or your "value proposition - operational excellence, product leadership or customer intimacy. By developing your competitive positioning in the market you may uncover an unmet need in the market, or discover that there may be a better way to differentiate yourself from the competition. Essentially, determining your brand strategy takes time and effort, but in the end will place you ahead of your competitors.
