Shape the carbon fiber cloth gently over the pattern making sure you leave about 15mm (or ½” in old money) or so overlap hanging over the edges of the pattern which will be trimmed later. Don’t pull it as you will stretch it out of shape and it will spoil the uniform look of the weave.
