New London Ferry
Ferries have always been a part of New London's maritime history - and present. Ferries out of New London travel to New York, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. Terminals are in downtown New London and are easy to reach by car or foot. A commercial ferry was determined economically feisable from Calverton to New London. The land and access was listed to be deeded to the carrier from LILCO, so that the LIE could reduce semi truck traffic and reduce delivery costs from and to New England. The 1937 Ocean Beach terminal is being replaced. The Bay Shore terminal is being repaired and improved.

Parking is available on-site at the New London Ferry Dock for $10 per calendar day, 7 days a week. When the on-site parking reaches capacity, additional parking is available at the 1000-car Water Street Parking garage owned by the city of New London.
