Refusing a Job Offer

Refusing a job offer is a fairly simple process if it's done early enough. It can get more complicated the longer you postpone the refusal due to company guidelines and expectancies. The most professional way to refuse a job offer would be in the form of a letter. The letter should be typed and simple. Be polite, professional and candid about why you choose to pass on the job. Politeness is key as you never know whether you run into some of the same employers again in the future. Refusing a job offer in person is acceptable as well and the same standards apply.
