Types of Advertisement

In the early days of our country, if a baker made great bread, his best chance of advertising was by word-of-mouth. As we continued to evolve, more progessive types of advertising developed. Colorful murals started showing up on barns, and hand-painted signs dotted the countryside. When the printing prsses began to churn out weekly and daily publications, print advertising was born. In the early 20th century, electronic media like TV and radio were invented, and advertising advanced to the next level. Sponsors lined up to invest in airtime, and commercial production became a competitive industry. At this point in civilization, the new frontier for advertisers is the internet. Advertisements no longer reach regional or national audiences, they touch the world.
