Writing a Letter to the Judge before Sentencing

When writing a letter to the judge before sentencing, be sure you address the judge properly. To do otherwise gives the judge a bad first impression. Try to make your letter between one and three pages long. Make sure the beginning of the letter includes your name, address, occupation, and your relationship to the defendant. Remember that your goal is simply to try to give the judge some understanding of the person being judged.
