Ambit U10c018
The Ambit Speedstream model U10C018 is a cable modem. It can be found for sale online at various places, for about $20 or less. This modem uses the powerful Broadcom BCM3349 Docsis 2.0 chip. It seems to get generally good reviews from most users, but it may have some issues with over-heating.

She is connected to the Internet via an Ambit modem (model #U10C018). Connected directly to the modem, the Internet connection works fine but when I put a linksys router (WRT54GL) in between, I just can't get internet.
