Car Hesitation during Acceleration

Car hesitation during accelarion may mean cleaning the fuel filter, checking the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator to make sure they are all functioning properly. Also, the car might be ready for a major tune up, which includes changing the spark plugs, coil housing, etc.

I've been having some significant -- but intermittent -- hesitation during initial acceleration. The car kinda rolls along until you hit 20 or so, then it jumps up to full power and everything is fine. It usually idles fine, but sometimes will idle low, or die when stopping.
