Sympathy cards should be written very carefully as it is such a sensitive time for the person receiving the card. It is always nice to include a short personal remembrance of the person that passed, maybe tell of a fond meeting or funny story. The offer of any support you may be able to give is always nice, even if it can only be in the form of a card.
