Parts of a Hard Disk Drive
That are many parts of a hard disk drive. We have the read/write head, the IDE interface, jumpers, spindle, even an air filter. Much of this equipment is very sensitive. Damage can be done very easily, resulting in the loss of data, if the hard drive is unmounted from the desktop tower and taken apart. Better to look at the pictures first before attempting to perform surgical repairs yourself.
