SQL Command List

SQL stands for Structured Query Language and is a computer language used to store, manipulate, and retrieve data stored in relational databases. SQL was first used by IBM in 1974 when developing the first relational database. SQL Commands are the basic SQL statements that affect the storage, retrieval and manipulation of the database data. Many SQL commands perform mathematic functions such as COUNT and SUM. There are standards for SQL and many common commands are widely shared.
