How Do I End a Letter with Enclosures and CC
Typically, in a business letter, an enclosure or cc follows the signature block of the sender and is double-spaced. The purpose is to bring attention to the recipient that additional information has been included. Examples of enclosures could be copies of a contract, photographs, CDs or DVDs, etc. If there is more than one enclosure list it with the item followed by the number as illustrated below:

The "enclosure" and "CC" lines at the end of a business letter are optional. The "encl.:" line tells the reader that you have included an additional piece of documentation with the letter. The "CC" line tells the reader that you have also sent the letter to a secondary audience.
