"At least 85 wpm would be okay" is a very high count, considering the average person only types around 40 wpm. 50 - 60 is what they typically look for in secretarial/clerical work, unless you're going into dispatch which then requires at least 80.

I thought secretaries were supposed to be the undisputed masters of the keyboard. Looks like programmers are taking the lead, unless I am some kind of exception and other programmers are slow. Anybody know the average typing speed of a programmer?
