I suppose I've had an interest in becoming ambidextrous for quite some time. I few important events that come to mind both happened my freshman year in high school. I'm sure there was mild interest before this time, but I don't remember any specifics.

I made the mental leap from typing in QWERTY to Dvorak a few years ago, so I think I can make the mental leap of becoming ambidextrous. ... Hi Malkavian, The short answer is yes, you can certainly train yourself to be ambidextrous. The task of motor function is allocated to a specific area of the brain called the motor cortex. Since our brains are divided down the middle we essentially have two of these areas.
