Georgia High School Writing Test
The Georgia High School Writing Test (GHSWT) is a test administered in the 11th grade and must be passed in order to earn a regular education diploma. Students are given a topic and are instructed to use persuasive writing to influence the reader. The students are given a two hour time frame, of which 100 minutes of writing time, to write a one to two page paper. Students have the opportunity to take this test three times a year before the end of the 12th grade.
