Amicable
Simply stated, the word amicable means agreeable. Not fussy, not difficult, just plain old easy to get along with. Sounds like a great quality to have in a good friend. In fact, the word's root actually has friendship as its base. For example, the French work for friend is ami. Sound familiar?
