Coronation street, often known as Corrie, or The Street, is a long running English soap opera. Created by Tony Warren, and set in Manchester, the street was first broadcast December 9th 1960. Coronation street has earned many awards in its almost 50 years, and is still one of the most watched programs on British television. The story follows normal, everyday people who live on the street.
