Drop C Tuning

In order to do drop C tuning you need to start by putting your guitar into drop D. Tune your low E to a D and then you are in drop d. When you want to get to drop C you need to drop it 2 semi-tones down from drop D. OK Now that your E is a D you can tune the rest of the guitar down 2 semi-tones by following the regular standard tuning pattern and using the dropped D as a reference tone. The next the next step is to place the first finger of your left hand just behind the 5th fret on the bottom of the 6th string, loosening the 5th string peg until the pitch of the 2 notes are the same.
