Vampire Myths Histories

The vampire myth has been in the history of many different cultures. Bram Stoker's Dracula novel gave it a universally recognized name. His character was based on a real life character, Vlad Tepes, also known as Vlad the Impaler. He lived in Romania in the 1400. He was a cruel man who enjoyed watching bloody scenes of people being impaled. His "love of blood" is perhaps what inspired Mr. Stoker.
