Dove of Peace
The dove or dove of peace is a long recognized symbol for peace. Its origins stem back to both the Old Testament and the Qur'an. It was stated that a dove was set free by Noah to find dry land following the Great Flood. When the dove returned, it was carrying an olive branch. The olive branch, as well, became known as a symbol for peace.
