Doves Symbol of Peace
Doves have been a symbol of peace for thousands of years. Starting as a religious symbol in Christianity, Judaism and Islam, it is now recognized world wide.
The Old Testament and the Qur'an tell a story where Noah released a dove from the Ark after a great flood to find land. The dove returned carrying an olive branch in its beak, proving that the great flood was receding and land could be found.
