How to Do a Beehive Updo

Over the years celebrities from Audry Hepburn to Amy Winehouse has sported the very popular beehive updo. First you'll need bobby pins, hair clips and plenty of hairspray. The first step you need to do is make a horizontal part from ear to ear. Then clip the top half of your hair to the top of your head to keep the top strands out of the way. After that twist the bottom half of your hair starting at your roots. Then take the twist and run it vertically along the back of your head and secure it down with bobby pins. Now if you have long hair that goes beyond the twist, secure those strands down with boppy pins as well. After you have done that, unclip the hair that you originally pinned down in the beginning and comb it from root to tip. Then spray the hair that you just combed with hairspray to give it that volume your looking for. Now using your hands shape your hair into a round beehive puff on top of your head. Any excess hair that sticks out needs to be secured with bobby pins and then spray your whole head with hairspray. Now go to the mirror and look at the beautiful master piece you just created for yourself.
