Sewn in Hair Weaves

Hair weaves are a popular way to add length and fullness to your own hair. Sewn in hair weaves are the most secure method that lasts the longest. To get a sewn in hair weave you must first purchase the hair that you want added. Weave hair comes in both synthetic and human, human being more expensive and better quality hair that you can style just like the hair that grows out of your scalp. For a sewn in weave, you need to buy hair that is attached to a weft or a track. The hair comes lengths usually ranging between 8 inches to a dramatic length of 22 inches. The standard for hair that hangs below your shoulders is twelve inches. Usually two packs of hair is enough, but if you want it fuller, or if you have a larger head, three packs might be safe. To do a sew in, your hair should be freshly washed, conditioned and dried. The person doing your sew in will braid your natural hair either in a spiral pattern around your head, or in straight to the back cornrows. A little of your hair can be left out in a side or middle part, as well as some hair around your edges and the nape of your neck if you wish to wear your sewn in weave up in a ponytail. But you can also request a full head sewn in hair weave which means none of your hair will be left out. Once you determine which style you want, your stylist will then sew the wefts of hair onto your braids by using thread and a special bent hair needle. Row by row, the hair is sewn onto your braids until the entire head is covered and styled how you wish! If you have any of your natural hair left out, it should be blended into the style of the hair you purchased. A sewn in hair weave can last up to three months if properly taken care of and washed. It shouldn't be left in any longer than that because your natural hair will need to be washed.
