Simple Carbohydrates

Simple carbohydrates are a great source of immediate energy for the body. However, most of use tend to consume way to many simple carbohydrates, which gives them a bad reputation. While complex carbohydrates contain energy as well as other substances beneficial to the body, simple carbohydrates do not contain these other substances. That being said, simple carbohydrates are pure energy. When trying to lose weight, it is crucial that you do not ingest too many simple carbohydrates, because the excess energy not needed instantly will be converted to body fat.
