I have recently been looking into acid dipping as a solution to get to a easy starting point to start prep work for priming and painting but I don't know if this is a good idea? Is there anywhere near Alabama that specializes in this?

I don't think there is much point in acid dipping a whole automobile unless it was involved in a major crime and you want to destroy all trace of the getaway car :-) ... So here are some shops: Redi-Strip in Indianapolis IN, Roselle IL, Joliet IL, and Oak Creek WI; International Paint Stripping in Belleville MI;

I'm starting in on a race car project and would like to get the chassis acid dipped. I was wondering if anyone here knows of any places that can do that? Thanks, Dave ... Dave...I would ask the guys at 3R Racing if they know of any shops in Denver that could handle a chassis.

I live in the Bay Area, California, and am looking for a place nearby to acid dip my car. Ive been calling many many shops asking where they get their dipping done, no references seem to be in business anymore. If anyone knows anywhere in California, or even Nevada, that would be great.

I also have a mechanical background (rebuilding engines) and have worked as a body man in Auto body shops. I have an understanding of many other fundamentals about ... ACID Dipping is for heavy industry. For example, big valve bodies, complex solid pieces, tubing, pipes, etc. Things that can be successfully flushed out.

Or if anyone knows any shops in the Bay Area or close to that do media blasting and priming fo the bare metal, ... I dnt understand why the acid wold tear up a ford when hot rodders have been acid dipping for years? I have researched it pretty well and think that it is the way to go for me... Sandblasting is hte other...
