Breadfruit fruits are generally oblong and large, often 10 pounds or more. Skin is thin but roughened by projections of carpels. Fruit is mostly consumed after cooking. Edible portion is the interior pulp. Jackfruit fruits are very large, sometimes reaching 2 feet long and weighing 50 or more pounds.
