Either you've added too much liquid or not cooked it long enough. There is "fudge repair' though you can try - All you do is add the liquid ingredients to a heavy pan and then the fudge - be it too hard or too soft and then recook it.

Fudge is a soft, finely ... I halved the recipe and it turned out too soft. Can't actually cut it properly as it is so soft it sticks to the knife so much! ... If the environment isn't humid and room temperature for you isn't too much over 70°F, then the fudge should be able to keep at room temperature for a few weeks.
