Lambanog is a Filipino sweetish liquor made from the sap of the stem of immature coconut blossom. The sap collected is fermented for a a few hours into a toddy called tuba, then distilled into lambanog. It is rather potent at 90 proof but it's not noticeable at first sip because of its sweetness.

“Lambanog” is the Filipino term for wine that is locally produce from some 100% natural sources. Such examples of natural sources of lambanog are sugar cane, coconut, rice, and “sasa”, a member of the family of palm similar to coconut tree but commonly grow in areas near rivers and swamps.

Described by its creators as an elevated form of lambanog, VuQo is made in the Philippines through a lengthy process of fermenting coconut nectar. Rich Cabel, CEO of VuQo Incorporated, said it took four years to refine the product.
