i found a way to make hard cookies soft!!!!....just unpack them and leave them in an average temp place for 1 day and then they become soft....im serious....now you dont have to pay an extra 50 cents for soft cookies!!!!!

Besides microwaving, how do you make hard/stale cookies soft again? Kind of cheating, but soaking them in milk - they go soft and taste great, just like rusk biscuits when I was... ... try sticking them in the oven that might take longer than you wanted but those are the only ways I've heard of making cookies soft.
