Miracle Whip
Miracle whip is a sandwich spread and salad dressing that is made by Kraft Foods. Miracle Whip was first made in Salem, Illinois at Max Crosset's Cafe. Later, Crosset sold it in 1931 to Kraft Foods for a mere $300. It first premiered on a national level in 1933 at the Chicago World's Fair. It was deemed an instant success. Miracle Whip is a reduced-fat mayonnaise, in which its flavor is enhanced by over 20 different spices and sugar. Today, there are many different varieties of Miracle Whip all over the world.

When I was a child my Mom, unbeknownst to me, switched to miracle whip to prepare salads and sandwiches. I didn't get sick and actually liked it. While in college, my roommates declared mayo the spread king and there was no substitute.
