Every July 4 in Newport Beach, CA it's party time. Walking back from the water one 4th I saw a guy carving a HUGE block of ice, fashioning something pretty much like the party ice luge. The mold would have saved him some amount of labor, although his was on quite a bit grander scale, like 5 feet by 3 feet.
