Substitute Melted Butter for Vegetable Oil

You can always substitute melted butter for vegetable oil however, vegetable oil is the healthiest. Melted butter has more calories than vegetable oil. Melted butter really doesn't taste that good with every food requiring a base liquid. Vegetable oil goes great with sauteed vegetables. Melted butter goes great with pancakes. You can use either one but you want to try and make the healthiest choice. Too much consumption of butter can cause high cholesterol problems in the future.

PLEASE NOTE that when substituting a solid fat, such as butter with a liquid one (vegetable oil) or vice versa, adversely affects the taste or the texture of your recipe. Melted butter cannot be substituted with a liquid fat because butter contains milk solids which set after the recipe has baked and cooled;

A cup of melted butter is fine to substitute the oil. For baked goods butter usually tastes better anyway. Good luck.
