Thrifty Ice Cream
Thrifty ice cream is a brand of ice cream sold by a drug store chain which was bought by the Rite Aid corporation. Even though the store's name, Thrifty, was changed to Rite Aid; the name of the ice cream remained the same. Rite Aid stores up here in the Seattle area don't have it (they used to be Payless Drug though.) Although I spent most of my childhood in what was basically the middle of nowhere, I remember the Thrifty ice cream from visits to my Grandma's house in Arizona.
