You asked about color of ripe figs. There are literally hundreds of varieties of figs, and when ripe the figs can be from grass green to virtually black and all variations of green, yellow, ... It looks like a caprifig to me. I brought back a cutting back from Mykanos (A Greek Island) in 1995. Figs will never mature.
