I don't believe I have ever tasted or seen that sp ... I would say that it plays in a role similar to, and complementary of, cinnamon. It is in desserts and warm spicy hot drinks. I made cardamom scones and they were delicious! A little bit goes a long way. You may have to go to a health food or specialty supermarket to find it.
