I once bought a 7 lb. cow heart at Woodman's. Everything you could want in a grocery store. Plus cheap liquor. Loses a star for having noisy tile, being absolute gigantic (trying getting from frozen foods to produce sometime - you'll know how Shackleton felt) and having really shitty produce.

I hadn't been able to find Campari at any other grocery store liquor department, and Woodman's had it. Would I go back? Yes, if I'm in the area, but I generally prefer smaller grocery stores.

on nov. 7 I had the worst experience in my life in a grocery store. I own a convince store in Racine, I went shopping at woodman's for my store. I purchased $935.00 worth of grocery and soda.

Woodmans is a great store. Deli and produce is not the best but the canned items, frozen, etc is great for selection and price. It by far is the cheapest grocery store in the midwest. It's the biggest grocery store in Madison by far. It also has the best prices. From what I can tell the selection and prices are even better than Walmart. And it's open 24 hours a day. Anther plus is the huge selection of adult beverages The downside is that it can get extremely busy on weekends during the day time.
