Acute Gastroenteritis
Acute gastroenteritis is a long bout of the stomach flu. Some symptoms of acute gastroenteritis is vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain. While gastroenteritis lasts only a day or two, acute gastroenteritis can last for weeks or months. Bacterial infection can cause acute gastroenteritis, as well infection by parasites. If you have not recovered from gastroenteritis within a day or two, you should see a doctor. Sometimes, acute gastroenteritis can only be cured by antibiotics, especially when parasites or bacteria is the cause.
