Applying Triangular Bandage

Fold a triangle bandage into a triangular shape and place below the foot. The foot should be centered on the bandage with the longest side underneath the toes and the pointed end stretching out behind the ankle. Step 2Twist the back flap around to the front of the ankle and the front side flaps across over the front of the ankle before securing. Tie the ends together at the back of the ankle. This is the classic triangle bandage foot wrap. Step 3Place a folded once triangular bandage across the forehead. The longest side should pass along the forehead of the injured victim with an even amount of left over flap on both sides. Adjust placement to compensate for forehead injuries. Step 4Pull side flap back towards the center of the back of the head and cross over. This means the flaps cross over each other. Step 5Bring the crossed flaps back to the front of the head before securing on the forehead with a knot or safety pin. This is the traditional placement of a head bandage. Step 6Turn the bandage over on one side creating a flap a few inches thick and place against the front of the injured knee. The bandage is placed so that the knee and the center of the fold meet with equal amount of the flap on both sides. The excess is at the top of the knee with the straight fold at the bottom of the knee. Step 7Wrap the bandage behind the knee, cross the flaps over and bring back to the front to secure. Use either a pin or a knot to secure the knee bandage. This is the classic knee bandage technique.
