Broken Capillaries
Broken capillaries can be caused by genetics, increase in age, rosacea, hormonal fluctuations, pregnancy, obesity, UVA sun damage, or even fluctuations in temperature. The first thing you should do is to see your dermatologist. They will be able to tell you exactly what is going on and how to treat the problem. Laser treatments can stop the capillary from leaking blood and shrink the blood vessels to prevent future breaks. The treatments usually last around 15-20 minutes and are done right in the dermatologist's office. There are also some medications available if laser treatments are not for you. Some natural remedies may also help heal and prevent future breakage. Mix chamomile or rose oil into your moisturizer and apply. It may take longer but will save you from having to make additional appointments. One other tip is to drink chamomile tea to help improve your body circulation.
