Can Implantation Bleeding Seem like a Period
Some women do not realize they are pregnant because they mistake the implantation bleeding as a light period. When you become pregnant you may experience bleeding when the egg implants into the uterine wall. This generally happens in the first week of pregnancy. There is no pain associated with it and it usually consists of light spotting.

could this be implantation bleeding? My breast are still really sore.. I'm tired.. and my eating habits.. I feel like a pig and I have constant hunger pains.. ... I've never had anything like this before (I'm always extremely regular with my period), but it's the first month I've tried to get pregnant and I'm curious if this could mean I'm pregnant or if it could mean there was conception but unsuccessful implantation.

When my period was a day late i tested a 'faint' positive, so tried again 2 days later and was another faint positive! I then did a digital test the next day(just to be sure) which also said 'pregnant'. Unfortunately I started bleeding the day after that just like a normal period,red & lasting 4-5 days?

Dear Rocky, It is not that unusual to have some bleeding in early pregnancy that gets interpreted as a menstrual period. Usually when you really think about it, it wasn't exactly like your normal period--maybe longer, shorter, or lighter. ... That said, there also are reasons that one may seem extra big in early pregnancy.
