Cause of Low Grade Fever

The main cause of a low grade feaver is reaction to infection. When you get a cold for instance, your immune system tells the brain that it needs more body heat to attack the infectious cells. A fever is just your body letting you know that it is fighting. And a low grade fever is not a bad thing always. With a low grade fever, at least you know your body is fighting and working as it should. If your fever lasts longer than 72 hours see your doctor.
