Causes of Lump in Cheek
There can be many causes of a lump in your cheek area. If it is smaller than the size of a pea, it may be cystic acne. If it is slightly under the jawline and is something that is easily moved around, it may be either a calcium deposit or a swollen lymph gland. If it is located in other places, it may be an abcessed tooth causing your cheek to swell or it could be a swollen sinus cavity that has been affected by an infection. Be careful to note if there are any other symptoms to go along with the lump, like any sores on the inside of your mouth or pain present in any other location. Also, check to see if you are running a fever. If you have a fever present it could also be mumps, especially if your jaws feel swollen and tight. If you are unsure of the cause, it is best to see your Dr.
