The causes of downs syndrom don't seem to be influenced by the activity of the parents will the baby is in the mother's womb. Downs syndrom is a result of the chromosones and an abnormality relating to them. The chances of having a second baby with downs syndrome is only 1%. If a mother is older when concieving the chances of having a baby with downs syndrome increases. It is recommended that woman who get pregnant over the age of 35 undergo a test to determine the likelyhood of the baby having downs syndrome.
