Eye Scratch Treatment

A corneal abrasion, or scratch of your eye, can be a common occurrence. Rubbing your eyes, a contact lens, a makeup brush or your own fingernail can cause your eye to get scratched. Corneal abrasions normally heal on their own. To help it heal quicker, you can do a few things. Be sure to keep your hands away from your eye and to keep it shut as much as possible. Do not wear contact lenses, but instead wear your glasses. Rinse your eye well and keep it lubricated with moisturizing drops. If it doesn't heal in a few days, see your doctor.
